About the role
The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site management of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day field operations from project start through completion
- Manage subcontractors, trades, and site logistics
- Develop and maintain project schedules and lookaheads
- Cook up inspections and ensure compliance with NYC building codes and safety regulations
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe job site
- Identify and resolve field issues, design conflicts, and coordination challenges
- Maintain daily logs, track progress, and report updates to the project team
- Work closely with Project Managers, clients, and design teams to ensure project success
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial interiors construction
- Strong knowledge of NYC construction practices, codes, and inspections
- Proven ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and job site operations
- OSHA 30 required (additional safety certifications a plus)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to commute to job sites throughout NYC
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $130,000 - $165,000 (based on experience)
