Job Title: Triple Hat Construction SuperintendentJob Description This role provides on-site leadership across multiple federal construction projects in Pensacola, Jacksonville, and Tampa. The Triple Hat Construction Superintendent oversees field operations while also fulfilling quality control and safety responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with federal requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities Lead daily on-site construction activities as Superintendent, ensuring all work is executed according to project plans, specifications, and schedules.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field personnel to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality workmanship.Implement and enforce safety programs on the job site, serving in a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) capacity and promoting a strong safety culture.Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements, including EM 385 regulations, and promptly address any safety concerns.Perform quality control (QC) duties, including inspections, documentation, and verification that work meets federal construction standards and contract requirements.Maintain detailed project documentation such as daily reports, safety logs, inspection records, and quality control reports.Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including owners, inspectors, and internal teams, to provide updates on progress, issues, and resolutions.Identify, report, and help resolve construction issues or conflicts in the field to minimize delays and rework.Support construction management processes by monitoring schedules, sequencing work, and assisting with planning to keep projects on track.Ensure adherence to all applicable federal construction guidelines, specifications, and quality assurance procedures throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Skills Proven experience in federal construction projects in roles such as Quality Control (QC), Superintendent, and Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).Strong background in construction supervision with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple subcontractors and field teams.Demonstrated expertise in subcontractor management, including scheduling, performance oversight, and coordination of trades.Comprehensive understanding of construction safety practices and regulations, with the ability to implement and maintain robust safety programs.Hands-on experience with quality control processes in construction, including inspections, documentation, and compliance verification.OSHA 30 certification, demonstrating advanced knowledge of occupational safety and health standards.EM 385 certification, with familiarity in applying U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety and health requirements on federal projects.QCM (Quality Control Manager) certification, or equivalent qualification, supporting responsibility for project quality assurance.Knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling, sequencing, and resource coordination on active job sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on multiple concurrent projects or transitioning efficiently between projects in different geographic locations.Ability to function effectively in a Triple Hat role, performing Superintendent, Quality Control, and Safety responsibilities simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams.Solid organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records and reporting for federal construction projects.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and support decision-making in the field. Work Environment This position is based on active federal construction sites in Pensacola, Jacksonville, and Tampa. The work environment is predominantly field-based, requiring regular presence on job sites, coordination with subcontractors, and interaction with project stakeholders. The role involves adherence to federal construction standards and strict safety and quality protocols, including OSHA 30 and EM 385 requirements. Work hours typically follow standard construction schedules, with flexibility required to address project needs, inspections, and milestones. The setting is fast-paced and hands-on, with frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, construction equipment, and varying site activities. Appropriate construction-site attire and personal protective equipment are required at all times to maintain safety and compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $43.26/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
