Construction Superintendent

About the role

Join our team and take charge of a project in the Metro-Detroit area as the on-site leader. You’ll be responsible for keeping the project on track, subcontractors aligned, and quality at its highest level—all while ensuring a safe and efficient jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors, coordinate daily activities, and proactively ensure project needs are met.
• Verify subcontractor work, track changes, and communicate scope adjustments to the project manager.
• Plan and coordinate work efficiently, notify subcontractors in advance, and keep teams aligned.
• Monitor progress daily, address deficiencies early, and uphold a zero-punch list mindset.
• Partner with subcontractors to ensure proper installation, scheduling, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Work with the project manager to ensure seamless project turnover with a strong close-out and commissioning plan.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and directing subcontractors.
• Clear communication skills to coordinate across project teams, subcontractors, and owners.
• Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven—you don’t wait for problems, you solve them.
• Tech-savvy mindset and willingness to learn new construction management tools.
