About the role

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers and field teams, this role ensures timelines, resources, and milestones are accurately planned and tracked to support successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed construction schedules for projects in collaboration with Project Managers and field leadership
  • Review contract documents to ensure labor, materials, subcontractor activities, and other cost elements are captured in the schedule
  • Create work breakdown structures and identify project relationships, milestones, and constraints
  • Utilize scheduling tools to build and analyze project timelines
  • Perform impact analysis of change orders and assess potential schedule delays or acceleration opportunities
  • Cook up direct budgets and align project timelines with performance goals
  • Present schedule updates, reports, and analysis to project stakeholders and senior management
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all project-related documents

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Business-related field
  • Previous experience as a Construction Scheduler
  • Knowledge of electrical utility construction (preferred)
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, customers, vendors, and others
  • Comfortable with taking initiative to seek out information from project stakeholders and customers to ensure accurate representation of the schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized person able to manage priorities with awareness of deadlines and expectations
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and customer requirements and to assist team members

Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: Office environment requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various work sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
