Construction Project Manager III oversees new building projects from planning to closeout on a 6‑month contract in Merritt Island, FL. The role manages 5‑10 subcontractors and balances field and office responsibilities, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. It supports both large campus projects and smaller facility modifications while maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Plan, manage, and complete construction projects from inception to closeoutOversee field activities and coordinate 5‑10 subcontractorsNegotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractorsDevelop and maintain project documentation, schedules, and budgetsEnsure compliance with state and federal regulations and safety standardsManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelinesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project satisfactionConduct site visits, monitor progress, and hold status meetings with sub‑teamsPrepare progress reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholdersProcess invoices, support billing, and manage change orders and disputesRepresent the organization in project and client meetingsResolve daily project issues and foster a diverse, collaborative team environment Qualifications 5+ years of on‑site construction project management experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, PMWeb, or SmartsheetOSHA certificationU.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or lawful admission statusBachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or equivalent experience Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeDemonstrated ability to deliver results under significant challenges or setbacksExperience taking calculated risks with a bias for actionSkill in analyzing reversible and irreversible decisionsExperience collaborating with large, geographically dispersed programs and subcontractors
