Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, construction coordination, commissioning, and closeout for HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Serve as primary client contact and build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; manage stakeholder communications and expectations.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets; track progress, forecast changes, control costs, and implement corrective actions as needed to meet financial and timeline goals.
- Cookordination and oversight of subcontractors and field teams to ensure work conforms to plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations; conduct regular site visits and inspections.
- Review and coordinate MEP design documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders; collaborate with design and estimating teams to resolve technical issues and value engineer solutions.
- Manage permitting, inspections, regulatory compliance, and documentation required by local authorities and owner requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety programs and quality control processes; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Prepare regular project reports, meeting minutes, budgets, and progress updates for internal leadership and clients; maintain accurate project documentation.
- Support pre-construction activities including constructability reviews, cost estimating, bid evaluations, and proposal development.
- Lead commissioning and startup activities for mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring systems operate to design intent and owner requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience delivering MEP, HVAC, or building systems projects; experience in commercial, public, institutional, and K-12 sectors strongly preferred.
- Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC design and installation practices, controls, and commissioning processes.
- Strong project management skills including scheduling (MS Project or similar), budgeting, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills with a track record of successfully managing stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with codes, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements for public and institutional projects.
- Relevant certifications a plus: PMP, CCM, LEED AP, OSHA 30, or HVAC trade licensure.
- Able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents; proficiency with project software (Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
