About the Role
This position is responsible for aiding in the coordination of the day-to-day project management activities throughout all phases of Sonic's Plant Construction projects, while promoting Sonic's core values of outstanding customer service, quality, security, and integrity. It is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt, hybrid position with no expected travel.

Responsibilities
- Interface with municipal building and roadway departments to complete permit applications, coordinate inspections, and secure project approvals.
- Prepare and monitor purchase orders and construction tracking.
- Prepare and track check requests.
- Deliver permit applications and fees to Agencies Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to secure construction permits.
- Assist with Statement of Work (SOW) documents and permitting processes (pole owner attachment and AHJ Encroachment permits).
- Compile and submit aerial permit applications.
- Schedule traffic control and no parking signs.
- Monitor permit expiration dates and request extensions as needed.
- Manage the closeout process, including filing NOCs, As-Builts, Closing Permits, CPUC Filing, PG&E Permits, and AT&T Permits.
- Review as-built drawings to verify quantities for billing.
- Create and send construction notices, set up PBX numbers, and coordinate with IT and Logistics for contractor ID badges/magnets/vests.
- Maintain project progress meeting minutes.
- Prepare and submit map requests (ATT, GIS, Cable Pulls, etc.).
- Push JIRA Workflows and upload project files to SharePoint or J drive.
Requirements
- Proficient skills in Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Outlook.
- General understanding of construction project lifecycle, permitting processes, and aerial/underground construction fundamentals.
- Knowledge of State, Highway Department, Railway, and Municipal requirements for construction permitting.
- Ability to learn and implement AT&T and PG&E paperwork processes.
- Experience with utility construction, preferably with AT&T, PG&E, or Aerial Utility.

Work Environment
The role involves driving a Sonic company vehicle and exposure to varying site conditions, climates, and elements.
Physical Demands
Constant sitting and keying/typing, occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
