Construction Permitting Coordinator
About the role
We are supporting a leading organization seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage permit and plan activity across the division. This position plays a vital role in keeping construction projects moving through the approval process by coordinating documents, tracking agency requirements, and supporting timely inspections and closeouts.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and organize documents from engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors to support the permit application process.
- Track permit status with regulatory agencies, act as a liaison between the company and agencies, and help move approvals forward in a timely manner.
- Review application packages and supporting documents for accuracy, maintain schedules and records, and enter permitting data daily.
- Coincide with project managers, contractors, consultants, and Facilities Engineering/Construction teams to resolve issues, verify inspections, and support certificate of occupancy closeout.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years in the construction industry and/or technical construction project management experience is helpful.
- Experience with manufacturing/industrial facility construction and amenity permitting is preferred, with willingness to train the right candidate.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, consistent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and take initiative are essential.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player, and be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume workload.
