Location: Boulder City, Nevada (Onsite). This role is approximately 70% office-based and 30% in the field. Driving will be required; a valid, non-restricted driver's license is necessary. Per Diem and Mob/De-Mob expenses are available for this assignment.

About the role

The Construction Manager is responsible for the project’s success from a field level, serving as the bridge between field operations and the Project Manager. This role involves coordinating and managing construction work performed by contractors, assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.
  • Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance.
  • Manage walk downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work, and approve contractor payment requests.
  • Ensure scope control, budget oversight, and performance reporting.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce.
  • Act as a critical bridge between field operations and customer leadership, ensuring alignment between construction crews and project stakeholders.
  • Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure construction activities remain on schedule.
  • Define strategic commissioning frameworks and manage enterprise-level projects.
  • Oversee long-term planning and high-value contractual agreements.
  • Act as a key advisor for executive leadership on commissioning and operations strategy.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
