Construction Manager - High Voltage
About the role
William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is hiring a Construction Manager to support our Power Delivery team. The Construction Manager will manage clean energy projects from the site field office in Rockford, IL, focusing on field coordination, production, safety, and quality compliance. The role requires up to 75% travel by various means and the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
Responsibilities
- Safety planning for all field operations and activities
- Rock boring and handling environmental and fire hazards
- Personnel management, including setting production, safety, and quality goals
- Identifying and managing resources needed for job sites
- Updating and managing the work schedule
- Contributing to monthly cost to complete projects and advising the Project Manager
- Weekly reporting on quantities completed and performance
- Collaborating with the Project Manager on a regular basis
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field, preferred)
- At least 5 years of field superintendent/management experience in the solar and/or wind markets
- Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Knowledge of OSHA 30-hour training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, contracts, and governmental regulations
- Effective communication skills, including writing reports, business correspondence, and documenting project activities
Benefits
Financial benefits include a posted salary range of $110,000-$140,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:

Pay
$110,000-$140,000 / year, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a traveling position encompassing work sites in Missouri, Indiana, Illinois. Potential placement on projects in any state throughout the US. The Construction Manager will be based out of Rockford, IL, with up to 75% travel.
