Job Responsibilities
- Review daily emails, weekly reports, fiber testing results, and project status updates to identify risks, constraints, and schedule impacts each morning
- Cook up across vendors, general contractors, and internal teams throughout the day to resolve issues, push approvals, and maintain project momentum related to materials, schedules, and scope
- Lead and participate in site and project meetings to track progress and drive action items to resolution
- Facilitate metro and campus-wide syncs to align cross-functional teams and ensure consistent project visibility
- Attend network and technical readiness syncs to support deployment planning and infrastructure coordination
- Oversee field-related activities including fiber testing reviews, troubleshooting fiber issues, coordinating installations, and resolving blockers impacting delivery
- Update project notes, track action items, and review schedules against milestones at end of each day
- Prepare next-day priorities using structured task tracking tools and project management software
- Cook projects by developing detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and internal stakeholders
- Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate team members while overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Analyze technology needs, resource requirements, and market demand to assess project feasibility
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Review, recommend, and approve contracts and cost estimates
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in construction management or a closely related field required
- Demonstrated background in construction with hands-on field coordination experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing vendors, general contractors, and cross-functional internal teams on large-scale projects
- Prior experience supporting technology infrastructure, fiber deployment, or campus-scale construction programs is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or a related field required
- PMI or PMP certification preferred
- Must be able to comply with all onsite PPE requirements including Class 2 safety helmet, reflective vest, cut and impact resistant gloves, ANSI Z87.1 safety glasses, and composite toe work boots extending a minimum of 4 inches above the ankle
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail and strong interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage time across multiple concurrent projects
- Solid understanding of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Experience with Bluebeam for document management and markup workflows
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 for schedule development and tracking is strongly preferred
- Ability to navigate and coordinate fiber infrastructure, network deployment, and technical readiness activities
- Comfort working in an active construction environment with strict adherence to PPE and safety requirements
