Construction & Maintenance Technician I,II,III,IV

About the role

Performs company field operations including manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair, construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs or replaces steel and plastic pipe.
• Provides First Responder assistance in emergency situations.
• Locates gas lines.
• Loads and unloads required equipment, tools, and supplies onto and from truck.
• Transports required equipment, tools and supplies to work site.
• Trains and coaches less experienced members of crew.
• Assists with or leads work on site.
• Leads and directs all gas distribution work for a construction crew; ensures crew members know safety policies and practices, monitors compliance, and coaches in the field.
• Ensures plastic and steel welding performed by crew members meets standards.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages), punctuation, grammar and spelling.
