Position Description Summary
Serve as Owner's representative. The Night Shift Area Resident Manager will report to the Principal Construction Inspector and work in conjunction with the Roadway Area Resident Manager Lead.
Essential Job Duties
- Lead the Nightly Huddle, distribute the Roadway Bulletin, Terminal Bulletin, and Daily Roadway Map to attendees.
- Perform site checks at each location within the CTA, terminals, and AOA where active construction activities are deployed during each shift.
- Communicate with the Safety and Inspection team regarding compliance with scheduled work.
- Take photographs of each deployed project operating within the CTA, terminals, and AOA locations.
- Produce a Nightly Report with written narrative and photographic components.
- Post Nightly Reports to the CALMSHARE site.
- Develop appropriate tracking and recordkeeping tools.
Hardware and Software Knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Proficiency in Adobe software, particularly Acrobat and InDesign. Ability to review and edit documents in Bluebeam.
Professional Experience and Other Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 20 years of construction management field experience. Minimum of three years of airport experience or five years of experience working in other critical-environment facilities. Ability to assume responsibilities beyond those outlined above. Proven accuracy, reliability, priority-setting skills, and completeness in accomplishing assigned work. Demonstrated planning, controlling, organizing, and leadership skills in previous positions. Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to a nontechnical audience. Ability to work under pressure on high-profile and complicated assignments. Ability to understand the design and construction intent of projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
