Construction Laborer
About the role
Join Singleton Construction as a Construction Laborer and be an essential part of our project teams, delivering commercial construction projects for some of America's most recognised brands. This role offers the opportunity to travel across the central and southern United States, work with your hands, and be part of a close-knit team where no two projects—or months—are the same. It’s more than a job; it’s a chance to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career in commercial construction.
Why Singleton?
At Singleton Construction, we’re passionate about developing great people. We invest in your growth, knowing that today’s Laborers become tomorrow’s Carpenters, Superintendents, and Project Managers. You’ll travel to various project locations, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain hands-on experience across multiple states. We support you with organized travel, quality accommodation, and ongoing assistance, so you can focus on learning, working safely, and building your future. Hard work, initiative, and a great attitude open real opportunities for progression—whether your goal is to become a skilled Commercial Carpenter, move into site leadership, or continue advancing in commercial construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist Carpenters, Superintendents, and project teams with day-to-day site activities.
- Load, unload, and move materials and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
- Support construction, installation, and finishing work as required.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist with project setup and closeout activities.
- Follow all company safety procedures and site requirements.
- Learn new skills while working alongside experienced construction professionals.
Projects vary in location and duration, so you’ll need to be comfortable traveling and staying away from home when required.
Requirements
- Previous construction or laboring experience (preferred but not essential).
- A willingness to work hard and learn new skills.
- A positive, team-first attitude.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to working safely.

Most importantly, we’re looking for people eager to build a career, not just find their next job. If you don’t tick every box but have the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
What success looks like
Success means becoming someone your team can rely on—always willing to learn, taking pride in your work, and supporting those around you.
