Construction Installer
About the role
This is a traveling position where you will be traveling for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and working 8-12 hours per day, and up to 50+ hours a week. During travel, transportation, lodging and meals expenses are covered.
Responsibilities
- Using hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products such as bird netting and spikes in commercial facilities such as distribution centers, transportation facilities and aircraft hangars.
- Working at average heights of 40 ft primarily in aerial lifts, but also on roofs and scaffolding.
- Safely performing bird control services according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Maintaining good customer relations and fostering long-term relationships with our district offices and service customers.
- Communicating with customers about actions taken during service visits.
- Maintaining appropriate service standards on all accounts.
- Training company colleagues in respect to bird and bat applications.
- Discussing any unusual circumstances or problems immediately with your supervisor and/or sales representative.
- Participating in group meetings to develop new and better ways to meet and exceed our customers' needs.
- Identifying customer's bird and/or problems and applying appropriate preventive steps where no problems currently exist.
- Maintaining your equipment and vehicle in a state of cleanliness and good working order for your own comfort and safety, as well as providing an appropriate appearance for our customers.
- Aiding sales and management personnel in reviewing accounts and up-grading them as appropriate.
- Timely and proper completion of customers’ and administrative reports.
- Attaining level of productivity based on level of training, experience, and type of accounts serviced.
- Operating aerial work platforms and small hand and power tools.
Requirements
- Flexible with working hours, able to work all shifts, and able to travel throughout our national coverage areas.
- Able to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend/descend stairs and balance/work off ladders up to 60’.
- Able and uninhibited of heights.
- Acquire a certification in Aerial Work Platforms and use of Hilti power actuated equipment.
- Operate aerial work platforms and work off/balance on fixed and swing scaffolding.
- Will be required to obtain any required industry licenses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of aerial work platforms and Hilti power actuated equipment.

Pay
Hourly: $19.00 - $35.00
