Construction Installer

About the role
This is a traveling position where you will be traveling for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and working 8-12 hours per day, up to 50+ hours a week. During travel, transportation, lodging, and meal expenses are covered.
Our Construction Installers are responsible for using hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products such as bird netting and spikes in commercial facilities such as distribution centers, transportation facilities, and aircraft hangars. You will be working at average heights of 40 ft, primarily in aerial lifts, but also on roofs and scaffolding. Construction Installers perform bird control services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
Responsibilities
- Install bird deterrent products (e.g., netting, spikes) in commercial facilities while maintaining high-quality standards and customer relations.
- Maintain good customer relations, including courteous communication and leaving premises clean.
- Communicate actions taken during service to customers and district office management.
- Train company colleagues on bird and bat applications.
- Discuss unusual circumstances or problems with supervisors or sales representatives.
- Actively participate in group meetings to improve customer service.
- Identify customer bird/bat problems and apply preventive measures.
- Complete initial technical training and participate in ongoing update training.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools in clean and working order.
- Assist sales and management in reviewing and upgrading accounts for service level, product, time, and pricing.
- Complete customer and administrative reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attain productivity levels based on training, experience, and account type, including proper use of power equipment and aerial work platforms.
- Participate in off-hours and weekend services when requested.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp, or dusty locations.
- Use application, inspection equipment, and small hand/power tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to enter/exit structures, crawl spaces, climb structures, ascend/descend stairs, and work off ladders up to 60 feet.
- Comfortable working at heights without inhibition.
- Acquire certification in Aerial Work Platforms and Hilti power actuated equipment.
- Operate aerial work platforms and work off/balance on fixed and swing scaffolding.
- Obtain any required industry licenses.
- Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts (50-60 hours per week) as needed.
- Ability to travel throughout national coverage areas for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time.
