Responsibilities
- Utilize independent judgement, problem-solving ability, and prioritization based on relevant factors
- Good communication skills to articulate challenges and success stories to internal and external clients
- Tracks and assists with closing out project punch list items and/or identified quality issues with completed work
- Serves as an ambassador for efforts and services internally/externally and collaborates with project teams
- Supports Trade Partners and the project team with logistical items during work activities to include clean up, lay down operations, scheduling, tools, material, and equipment sourcing
- Informs Superintendent of any quality deficiencies
- Study and analyze construction drawings and shop drawings to confirm or otherwise establish the planned layout dimensions and elevations for the project
- Assists company and subcontractor personnel to understand the layout and identify the precise locations of the elements being installed
- Other functions as may be required or assigned by Project Superintendent or other authorized individual, including making suggestions of alternative construction methods and techniques, and/or developing interpretations of vague or conflicting information, etc.
- Ability to quickly learn new hardware/software tools
- Ability to work closely with the field team to learn the superintendent roles and responsibilities
- Problem solving skills and the ability to work towards finding a solution to the problems
- Skills in observing two dimensional drawings or pictures and understanding how they will look in three dimensions as solid objects
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Experience with VDC technologies such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other similar software systems is a plus
Requirements

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally, especially when managing multiple projects and during problematic opening and/or closing phases of projects, mental stress can be taxing
- May be required to work long hours for extended periods of time
- Observing (seeing well, either naturally or with correction), as in reading detailed blueprints, drawings, sketches and plans at close proximity
- Sight at a distance as in making visual assessments of the exact location of a marker when viewed through a surveyor’s instrument
