About the role

A career as a Land Surveyor offers the chance to work outdoors, see different landscapes each day, and stay updated with the latest technologies. Lamp Rynearson is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join their surveying team in Fort Collins. This position provides the opportunity to work with modern equipment such as drones, 3D laser scanners, GPS, and total stations. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, basic math skills, and eagerness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

  • Operate modern survey equipment including drones, 3D laser scanners, GPS, and total stations
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Perform physical labor such as lifting and carrying 50 pounds, navigating construction sites, and working in various weather conditions
  • Occasionally work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays as needed
  • Show up on time and be available to work in diverse environments

Requirements

  • Desire to be part of a successful team
  • Eagerness to learn how to operate drones and 3D laser scanners
  • Aptitude to become proficient using GPS and Robotic Total Stations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform physical labor and navigate construction sites
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills
  • A positive “can do” attitude
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Physical stamina and endurance
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in construction and land surveying (helpful but not required)
  • Associate degree in a surveying program or related field (helpful but not required)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour.
