Construction Field Sales Specialist- New York, NY
About the role
The Construction Field Sales Specialist will be part of the Commercial Construction field sales team in New York. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, developing key relationships with end-user partners, teaching and mentoring local market teams, and maintaining a CRM system.
Responsibilities
- Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives through selling DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and services solutions, as well as managing CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs for user responsibilities.
- Teach and mentor local market teams on the process of End User development, including identifying key contacts and aligning efforts with local market teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers.
- Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool.
- Communicate successes and failures in a timely manner to develop a more streamlined process and future for success with key accounts and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
- Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education.
- PREFERRED: Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing sales experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results and experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

Pay
The total target cash compensation range for this position is $100,800.00 - $162,300.00. This is the lowest to highest total target cash compensation range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Total target cash compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and in compliance with local wage requirements.
Schedule
Field-based position with up to 50% travel required.
