Construction Builder
About The Role
Elite Homes, a subsidiary of Arbor Homes, is seeking a Builder to join its Louisville team. As a Builder, you'll play a supportive role in the quality construction of customer homes. Your responsibilities include assisting in the entire home building process, following company construction standards, and managing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of your assigned communities, walking every room in every house every day.
- Take ownership of your communities: conduct pre-construction and pre-drywall meetings with each buyer, perform weekly contact with buyers to enhance their experience and drive customer satisfaction.
- Develop and foster relationships with contractor base and municipality inspectors to streamline building and minimize waste and delays in schedule.
- Communicate failures or issues discovered in the field with your Area Manager, Purchasing, Land Development, etc. as necessary.
- Develop and train your Assistant Superintendent.
- Maintain constant job site readiness on a daily basis for the contractor base (e.g., clean garages for interior trim delivery, ensure concrete and vinyl areas are free of paint overspray and humps/dips for vinyl installers).
- Create and maintain a good open working relationship with your sales team, communicating weekly about customer issues.
Requirements
Prior Builder Experience Required
Demonstrated leadership experience
Comfortable using cell phone applications
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Construction and/or customer relations experience is a plus
Knowledge of practices and procedures of construction and building codes is a plus
