Construction BIM Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs/PXPs).
• Manage and maintain federated BIM models from multiple disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or equivalent software for internal QC check.
• Track, document, and distribute coordination issues to stakeholders and vendors.
• Support coordination meetings and assist with agenda preparation and follow-up.
• Ensure models comply with internal BIM standards and project requirements.
• Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs, phasing, and logistics as required.
• Cover coordination with project managers, superintendents, designers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain model version control and proper file management practices.
• Cover coordination with field teams with model access, visualization, and troubleshooting.
• Aid in the development of BIM workflows, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in BIM coordination or VDC-related roles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks & Client.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and coordination workflows.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Understanding of LOD as per BIM Forum standards / BIM ISO 19650.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Familiarity with Dynamo, point cloud workflows & laser scanning.
• Experience supporting construction-phase BIM coordination.
• Understanding of VDC deliverables such as The Client/5D modeling.
• Experience in Architectural scope BIM Delivery such as drywalls, exterior panels, prefabricated panels...etc.
• Ability to guide a team into BIM modeling delivery at LOD 100-500.
