Construction Administrator
About the role
Stantec is currently seeking a full time Data Center Construction Administrator based out of our Raleigh, NC office. This opportunity will require on-site field representation for approximately 20% of your time with the remaining of your time based on a hybrid work model of in-office and work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform on site observations of the progress and quality of the work to determine if it is being performed in a manner conforming to the contract documents.
- Observe and report deviations from the contract documents, codes, and standards.
- Follow through with all responsible parties until issues are resolved.
- Aid in review of submittals.
- Aid the design team with responses to requests for information and communicate with the design team for clarifications.
- Revise drawings as required.
- Aid in BIM coordination with contractor and trades.
- Develop written field reports and complete project punch lists.
- Process project closeouts.
- Attend and participate in site meetings with construction management team, trades, and owner representatives.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of buildings, and the design and construction process.
- Interest in becoming knowledgeable in all fields of architecture and engineering.
- Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Ability to communicate, participate, and collaborate in a project team and owner settings.
- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Willingness to contribute to business development efforts.
- Requires an intermediate ability to use and produce in Revit.
- Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with typical construction management software (Newforma and Procore) is a plus.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or Construction Management.
- Some professional experience in related work preferred.
Skills
- Intermediate ability to use and produce in Revit.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with typical construction management software (Newforma and Procore).
