About the role

Stantec is currently seeking a full time Data Center Construction Administrator based out of our Raleigh, NC office. This opportunity will require on-site field representation for approximately 20% of your time with the remaining of your time based on a hybrid work model of in-office and work from home flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on site observations of the progress and quality of the work to determine if it is being performed in a manner conforming to the contract documents.
  • Observe and report deviations from the contract documents, codes, and standards.
  • Follow through with all responsible parties until issues are resolved.
  • Aid in review of submittals.
  • Aid the design team with responses to requests for information and communicate with the design team for clarifications.
  • Revise drawings as required.
  • Aid in BIM coordination with contractor and trades.
  • Develop written field reports and complete project punch lists.
  • Process project closeouts.
  • Attend and participate in site meetings with construction management team, trades, and owner representatives.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of buildings, and the design and construction process.
  • Interest in becoming knowledgeable in all fields of architecture and engineering.
  • Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Ability to communicate, participate, and collaborate in a project team and owner settings.
  • Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Willingness to contribute to business development efforts.
  • Requires an intermediate ability to use and produce in Revit.
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with typical construction management software (Newforma and Procore) is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or Construction Management.
  • Some professional experience in related work preferred.

Skills

  • Intermediate ability to use and produce in Revit.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with typical construction management software (Newforma and Procore).
