About the role

We're looking for a Construction Administrator who can manage and support the construction phase of projects. Your role will involve managing documents, workflows, and communications, processing change orders, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage documents, workflows, and communication supporting project delivery during construction
  • Log and route submittals and RFIs to A/E team and ensure timely reviews and approvals
  • Evaluate and approve change orders, assess cost and schedule impacts, and secure necessary approvals
  • Maintain project correspondence, transmittals, and an auditable document trail during construction
  • Administer contracts, issue and maintain contract documents, and amendments
  • Review and process pay applications and invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms and coordinating with contractors
  • Cover communication between owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to keep the project aligned and on schedule
  • Apply knowledge of regulatory compliance, including permits, building codes, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 7 years of contract-related experience, or advanced degree or certification program may substitute for experience
  • Expert knowledge of contracting concepts and company/client requirements
  • Professional, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office software, including complex Excel spreadsheets with formulas
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret construction contracts/documents
  • Understanding of building construction means and methods
  • Proficiency with Newforma software
