About the role

Crescent Electric is seeking a Construction Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating and maintaining strong, long-term business relationships with customers, reaching sales and profit goals, and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update business plans for assigned accounts in Crescent’s CRM tool.
  • Develop and sustain sales/profit volume in assigned territories.
  • Make regular in-person sales calls to prospective and existing customers.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products to customers.
  • Pricing bills of material for industrial customers.
  • Sell products and services using a conservative approach, offering add-ons and upsells as necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with construction customers and suppliers.
  • Assist and resolve customer requests and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and customer feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales efforts.
  • Execute sales efforts ethically and professionally, reflecting positively on both the individual and the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of related experience in the wholesale electrical distribution industry, or construction sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Product knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills, self-starter attitude, attention to detail, and effective communication (verbal and written).

Physical Demands

  • Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Continuous use of hands and fingers.
  • Use of technology (phone, computer, printer, keyboard).
  • Continuous use of vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception).
