About the role
Crescent Electric is seeking a Construction Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating and maintaining strong, long-term business relationships with customers, reaching sales and profit goals, and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Create and update business plans for assigned accounts in Crescent’s CRM tool.
- Develop and sustain sales/profit volume in assigned territories.
- Make regular in-person sales calls to prospective and existing customers.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to customers.
- Pricing bills of material for industrial customers.
- Sell products and services using a conservative approach, offering add-ons and upsells as necessary.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with construction customers and suppliers.
- Assist and resolve customer requests and issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and customer feedback to management.
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales efforts.
- Execute sales efforts ethically and professionally, reflecting positively on both the individual and the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of related experience in the wholesale electrical distribution industry, or construction sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays.
- Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Product knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
- Interpersonal and organizational skills, self-starter attitude, attention to detail, and effective communication (verbal and written).
Physical Demands
- Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.
- Continuous use of hands and fingers.
- Use of technology (phone, computer, printer, keyboard).
- Continuous use of vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception).
