About the role

Crescent Electric is seeking a Construction Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating and maintaining strong, long-term business relationships with customers, reaching sales and profit goals, and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update business plans for assigned accounts in Crescent’s CRM tool.
  • Develop and sustain sales/profit volume in assigned territories.
  • Make regular in-person sales calls to potential and existing customers.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products to customers.
  • Pricing bills of material and assisting industrial customers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with construction customers and suppliers.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate competitive conditions, customer financial weaknesses, and customer feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for mutual business opportunities.
  • Sell products and services ethically and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of related experience and/or training in the wholesale electrical distribution industry, or construction sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Product knowledge and ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills, self-starter, detail-oriented, and effective communication abilities (verbal and written).

Physical Demands

  • Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying 21-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying 51-100 lbs.
  • Continuous use of hands/fingers, reaching, twisting, bending, or kneeling.
  • Use of technology (phone, computer, printer, keyboard).
  • Lifting and carrying assistance may be required.
