Consolidated Veteran Services Representative (CVSR): WorkSource Everett

About the role

The Employment Security Department (ESD) is seeking a collaborative, community-minded professional to serve as a Consolidated Veterans Services Representative (CVSR) in Snohomish County. The ideal candidate is an engaging relationship-builder who thrives in outreach settings and is passionate about supporting veterans in achieving meaningful employment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with employers, unions, apprenticeship programs, and community partners to promote veteran hiring and identify job opportunities.
• Conduct employer outreach, needs assessments, and labor-market engagement to connect veterans with suitable employment.
• Provide individualized employment and training services to veterans and eligible spouses, including assessments, job development, referrals, and follow-up.
• Deliver intensive case management for veterans with significant barriers to employment, including developing and updating Individualized Employment Plans (IEPs).
• Ensure veterans and eligible persons receive Priority of Service by training WorkSource staff and partners on related policies and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Disabled Veterans Case Managers, WorkSource partners, and the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Coordinate with WIOA, DVOP, VR&E, and other workforce programs to align services and support veteran job seekers.
• Facilitate connections to internal and external resources, including training programs, UI, apprenticeships, and supportive services.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a WorkSource Specialist 4 or equivalent class within the Employment Security Department, or another state’s Employment Security agency OR
• Three years of professional experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or professional public contact work AND serving as a lead worker, team lead, or subject matter expert responsible for guiding staff, assigning work, and supporting daily operations.
• A combination of education and/or relevant experience.

Desirable/Preferred

• Selective preference will be accorded to Veterans with first priority given to qualified service-connected disabled Veterans, second to qualified eligible Veterans, and third given to qualified eligible persons as defined by Title 38, USC, Section 4101(5).
