About the Role

Lead a team of Field Insurance Sales Agents across multiple AAA Northeast branch locations, driving sales initiatives and ensuring operational excellence. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of sales strategies, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identify trends, and propose improvements to help the team meet and exceed goals.
  • Conduct daily huddles with the team to identify opportunities, share best practices, and foster a coaching environment.
  • Provide regular feedback and personalized coaching based on each team member’s skills and opportunities.
  • Advocate for and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and industry standards through call monitoring and review of new business submissions.
  • Coordinate team schedules and proactively address any gaps in coverage.
  • Manage and approve timesheets and time-off requests.
  • Conduct regular branch visits within the assigned region to support Field Insurance Agents in person.
  • Establish strong partnerships with branch management to provide feedback on member service, attendance, and reliability.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition for interviewing and hiring new employees, leveraging the Predictive Index for a fair selection process.
  • Work closely with the Training and Nesting team to ensure smooth onboarding, including training and technical guidance for new hires.
  • Clearly articulate goals and objectives, provide ongoing coaching, and administer performance reviews.
  • Proactively address performance and employee relations issues, involving leadership or Human Resources as needed.
  • Identify and document areas of improvement and administer performance counseling as required.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clarity on systems, processes, referrals, and sales training.
  • Participate in quarterly sales meetings, presenting and advocating for the team.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring five-diamond customer service.
  • Handle customer escalations and resolve issues to ensure total satisfaction.
  • Champion the benefits of AAA Northeast membership and share best practices with the team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, regulatory changes, and insurance carrier products.
  • Ensure all agency processes and procedures are followed in quoting, binding coverage, and processing member payments.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposures.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent’s authority.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of direct leadership/management experience or 1+ years in a preceding job level and 6+ years of insurance sales experience with a track record of success, including cross-selling and/or referrals for Life Insurance.
  • Valid Personal Lines License required upon hire.
  • Valid Life License (state-dependent) required within 1 year.
  • Valid Insurance designation(s) (e.g., AAI, CISR, ACSR) required within 1 year.

Pay

Competitive base pay with annual bonus opportunities. For certain roles, additional monthly and/or quarterly incentive compensation is available. The posted salary range represents the full range grade for this role, with individual pay based on job-related skills, experience, shift, and geographic location.
