Responsibilities

• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
• Preparing detailed estimates for our construction projects, including the use of concrete, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Managing the bidding process, including the preparation of detailed cost estimates, draft proposals, and hard bids.
• Implementing cost-effective solutions and project strategies to stay within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Conducting risk management assessments to identify potential operational or financial risks.
• Communicating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
• Participating in the negotiation and preparation of construction contracts.
• Utilizing specialized software for project take-off and estimation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry as a Concrete Estimator or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in concrete focused, commercial and industrial projects ranging from $2M to $12M in project value.
• A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills to calculate and estimate costs accurately.
• Strong negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective contracts and bids.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and other industry-related tools.
• A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
