Concrete Dispatcher

Duties And/or Responsibilities

• Answers phone to take/alter customer's order and complete all required information.
• Ensures the customer understands all relevant company policies such as “will calls”, additional products over amount ordered, towing charges, and our driver's responsibilities.
• Obtains all pertinent information from customer for accurate and efficient delivery process and verify the information back to customer.
• Verifies and obtains method of payment for each order.
• Informs fellow dispatch personnel of special instructions and gives adequate notice to ensure proper materials are available.
• Completes understanding of dispatch system, process and maintenance (quotes, product line items, pricing, mix designs, etc.).

Qualifications

• Ability to read maps and follow directions.
• Superior customer service skills, understanding of concrete properties and mix designs, knowledge of applicable government and industry regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, prioritize multiple tasks, strong organizational and conflict resolution skills.
• Operate office machines and intermediate level computer skills (Work, Excel, Windows & Outlook).
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
• Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
• Maintain OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
