Concession Worker | Part-Time | Virginia Commonwealth University

Responsibilities

• Cash register sales: Taking orders, building orders, and completing transactions.
• Concessions operations: Building orders, preparing food, and managing stock levels.
• Customer service: Responding to customer requests and concerns.
• Workplace maintenance: Keeping the workspace clean and organized, including waste disposal and dish cleaning.
• Serving beverages: Serving beverages to guests, including alcoholic drinks, responsibly.
• Compliance: Checking guests' IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
• Sanitation and safety: Maintaining cleanliness, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00 and is tip eligible.

Schedule

This position will remain open until August 7, 2026.
