Computer Support Associate

Pay rate: $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors standard processes or operations that are highly stable and/or relatively consistent in troubleshooting. Typical examples include:
  • Imaging computers
  • Replacing printer toner
  • Disposing of outdated assets
  • Resolving trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues
• Documents, records, and distributes information. Examples include:
  • Updating assets in Asset Center
  • Following KB articles for problem resolution
  • Following unit-specific processes
• Creates and maintains basic documents and records, such as:
  • Contact lists
  • Process logs
  • Problem incidence reports
  • Customer information updates
  • Exterior ship orders
  • Inventory, maintenance, or other service records
• Handles standard facilities administration requests.
• Recognizes problems with supported processes or operations and resolves them using pre-established, documented solutions. Reports problems outside the scope of established procedures to others.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or operations. Examples include:
  • Scheduling routine equipment maintenance
  • Ordering supplies
  • Monitoring inventory
  • Updating data records
  • Interacting with suppliers
• Applies technical knowledge to support processes or operations. Examples include:
  • Understanding basic printer operations to replace toner and pickup rollers
  • Troubleshooting by following KB articles to resolve end-user tickets
• Travels between two locations to provide onsite IT support. Requires a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals, including Windows operating systems.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, intranet, and internet functions.
• Knowledge of computer security policies and general computer security concepts.
• One year or more of IT experience preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies preferred.
• Exposure to scripting, automation, or programming concepts (PowerShell, VB/VBA, Python, etc.) preferred.

Pay

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $25.00/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
