Computer Solutions Specialist

About the role

Provide secondary systems support in addition to providing operational support and assistance for electronic networking activities and product-specific technical assistance across the college. Reports to the Director of Network and Users Services and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
• Experience: At least one year of comparable work experience required; familiarity and hands‑on experience with PC hardware and software applications, networking, and telecommunications.
• Skills: Well‑developed problem‑solving and organizational skills; able to carry out a variety of tasks concurrently and move from one task to another as required; able to work under the pressure of deadlines; able to exercise sound judgement and take initiative as appropriate; able to communicate effectively with people lacking technical skills; good interpersonal skills; physical ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and climb small ladders as necessary for equipment installation and maintenance; sufficient dexterity to repair equipment efficiently; able to crawl under tables; flexibility to work different shift hours.

Pay

Salary range: $51,160 – $51,660.

Schedule

Work hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
