Computational Fluid Dynamic Engineer – Mission Critical (Multiple Locations)

About the role
The Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Engineer will lead the creation and development of computational fluid dynamics design models for mission-critical data center projects. This role involves leading the CFD project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting CFD models according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead CFD analysis of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
- Apply knowledge of commonly used CFD concepts, practices, and procedures within the CFD services industry.
- Apply knowledge and experience to complex projects, finding non-standard design solutions.
- Prepare and present technical reports for clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.
- Adhere to QA/QC process requirements.
- Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
- Review engineering team design information pertaining to CFD analysis detail modeling requirements.
- Advise on modeling information exchange and need-by dates.
- Perform wind speed and weather probability analysis.
- Complete all other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience (consulting preferred), or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience (consulting preferred), or
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of mechanical engineering experience (consulting preferred).
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, hydraulic analysis, and HVAC analysis programs).
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
Pay
$110,000.00–240,000.00 yearly. The expected compensation range is based on individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package includes a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
