Compression/Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

Oversee performance engineering, technical oversight, and troubleshooting of large rotating assets—compressors, motors, engines, turbines, and auxiliary systems—within a natural gas pipeline system.

Responsibilities

• Optimize equipment performance and ensure reliability
• Improve emissions compliance
• Identify upgrade opportunities
• Conduct root cause analysis
• Support daily operations and long-term asset management
• Collaborate with Field Operations, Engineering, Project Teams, and vendors to maintain asset integrity, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment lifecycle

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Strong mechanical skills and analytical troubleshooting abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and commitment to safety
• Willingness to travel to field sites

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes:

• 5+ years supporting rotating equipment in industrial or energy settings
• Knowledge of reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, turbines, auxiliary systems, and basic controls
