Composite Prototype Technician Level 3

Responsibilities

• Composite material part layup and fabrication
• Fabrication, layup, coating, and operations of CNC machines, ovens and autoclaves
• Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes including computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools
• Operates forklifts
• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 4 years additional education and/or related experience
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
