Component Stores Specialist - Damar

About the Role

This position offers levels 1 - 3, with the wage scale provided reflecting levels 1 - 2. The Component Stores Specialist receives and stores incoming parts and hardware, releases assembly manufacturing orders (MO), and kits, following customer requirements and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Records completion of manufactured parts into manufacturing software system.
• Stocks completed parts into Component Stores locations.
• Relieves inventory of details and standards for assembly orders (MO) and issues to appropriate staging areas.
• Processes rework manufacturing orders.
• Uses a personal computer in a network environment to record, store, retrieve, and compile information; maintains various records and logs.
• Compares inventory records against physical count of inventory and reports inaccuracies to the Production Control Manager.
• Performs general maintenance and upkeep of Component Stores.
• Follows all safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Motivated, dependable individual with strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule, including short-notice unscheduled overtime or additional weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma.
• Basic math skills.
• Familiar with or proficient in Word, Excel, and keyboarding.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee status) due to U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role operates in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and vapors from coolants, coatings, and adhesives. Essential functions include:

• Standing and walking for much of the workday.
• Combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Use of computer keyboard, mouse, and multi-line phone.
• Physical ability to operate a forklift.
• Alertness, accuracy, and safety awareness around mechanized equipment.

Pay

$22.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour.

Shift differentials: $4.00 per hour (weekday night shift), $2.00 per hour (weekend day shift), $4.00 per hour (weekend night shift).

Schedule

Primary shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM.

Shift premiums for weekend shifts: work 33 hours, paid for 40 (weekend night shift) or work 36 hours, paid for 40 (weekend day shift).
