Compliance Officer - Onsite

About the role

This position serves as a Compliance Officer for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) within the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. The assignment is approximately 11 weeks in length.

Work Environment & Location

Professional office environment with business casual dress code. Candidate may select one of the following work locations:

• 8550 NW 33rd St., Suite 401, Doral, FL 33122
• 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL 32399

Responsibilities

• Contact constituents/complainants to discuss the details of complaints filed
• Read state statute and compare with complaints to analyze the issues
• Communicate with the public, providing excellent customer service
• Advise complainants of the Division's jurisdiction and explain when cases are being closed and for what reason
• Provide resources or referrals as appropriate
• Send written correspondence to complainants once approved by supervisor
• Close cases by adding appropriate codes/activities/statutes in Versa
• Document actions in the OnBase system

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Excellent written and oral communication with the public
• Ability to read and interpret Florida State Statutes
• Experience working with the public in a professional work environment
• Experience working with the public and analyzing complaints
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Commitment to project timeline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Versa
• Experience using OnBase system
• Bachelor's degree
