Compliance Officer, HFC
About the role
This position is entirely field based with travel required to facilities 80%-100% of the time. Geographical counties to be covered: Ventura County and Los Angeles County.
Under general direction of the Regional Compliance Officer, Health Facilities Construction (HFC), the Compliance Officer, HFC, performs the construction compliance phase of projects and will observe the construction of healthcare facilities as required to ensure work is performed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) and in compliance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations (CCR) (including all referenced codes and standards there within), the Office’s Policy Intent Notices, Code Application Notices and other applicable codes, guidelines and policies, and other reference materials.
Responsibilities
- Observe construction of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications
- Verify work conforms to Title 24, California Code of Regulations, including all referenced codes and standards
- Apply Office's Policy Intent Notices, Code Application Notices, and other applicable codes, guidelines, and policies
Qualifications
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility.

Requirements
- This position is subject to the Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests filing requirements, which requires disclosure of certain personal economic interests as determined by the Conflict of Interest Code of the Department of Health Care Access and Information. Pursuant to Government Code section 81008, Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests is public record and will be made available for public inspection.
- Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month.
Pay
$10,521.00 - $13,173.00. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
