Compliance Lab Technician, Cooper Lighting Solutions

About the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Compliance Lab Technician to join our Engineering Services Team onsite in Peachtree City, GA with Cooper Lighting, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. You will support the NPD and Energy Compliance Engineering teams by preparing test samples, performing various compliance and safety tests, using electrical test and measurement equipment, and following DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan) guidelines to ensure compliance to regulatory standards. You will work within company safety guidelines in accordance with UL, CSA, and IES testing procedures, perform regular audits of the lab’s test results and processes to ensure high‑quality product delivery, participate in training, and adhere to DAP certification requirements and the Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare test samples
• Perform various compliance and safety tests
• Use electrical test and measurement equipment
• Follow DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan) guidelines to ensure compliance to regulatory standards
• Work within company safety guidelines in accordance with UL, CSA, and IES testing procedures
• Perform regular audits of the lab’s test results and processes to ensure high‑quality product delivery
• Participate in training
• Adhere to DAP certification requirements and Quality Management System (QMS)

Requirements

• Diploma, certification or degree from a vocational/trade/technical school in electrical, electronics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a product test environment with ability to interpret results and generate test reports
• Experience with board level electronics (highly preferred)

Skills

• Well‑developed written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with multiple software packages including SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and unique testing software
• Dependable and able to work successfully in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail
