About the role
Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote:
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. You will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week and from your home for the remaining portion. Schedule details will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. You will work from your home within the continental US, with occasional requests to come to the office based on business need.
Travel is less than or equal to 10%.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Two years of work-related professional experience (Compliance, Internal Audit, Insurance, Fraud Investigation, etc.)
- Knowledge, practical experience, and designation/certification in one or more of the following: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS); Health Care Anti-Fraud Associate (HCAFA); Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI); Six Sigma and/or Lean Six Sigma
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate ethics and integrity expectations, and Compliance-related metrics and measurements preferred
- Basic knowledge and understanding of field force duties, responsibilities, and metrics preferred
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis, statistical process and quality control, and associated tools and methods including: graphical analysis, control charts, correlation & regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments
- Ability to convey methods and analyses output to all levels of employees and prepare statistical studies and trend analysis using internal and external information
- Strong personal computer skills and experience with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Supports Business Quality Managers and the associated analytical review(s) of market operations
- Gathers and analyzes data, generates reports pertaining to Aflac Trust and overall Compliance division operations, and completes reports summarizing activities and trends; performs independent review of problem situations and reports findings to management
- Coordinates details associated with ongoing projects and assists with confidential matters and performing research for special projects, as assigned
- Establishes and maintains effective data in the systems, and chronological and specialized project reference files to meet current reporting needs and future enhancements; performs research and analysis to provide accurate and meaningful information
- Reviews, stays abreast of, and maintains an understanding of various state and federal insurance statutes, legislation, regulatory, and internal policies to ensure compliance
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the department and throughout the organization
- Performs other duties as required
Pay
The salary range for this job is $60,000 - $80,000. This range is specific to the job and considers factors such as education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range to allow for future and continued salary growth.
