About the role
The Compliance Analyst supports the Company’s legal and compliance efforts through coordination of Ethics & Compliance (“E&C”) Program activities, regulatory tracking, Legal Department operations, and related administrative support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Supports compliance reporting, training initiatives, disclosure tracking, hotline reporting support, compliance communications, surveys, records administration, and other activities supporting organizational compliance and operational readiness.
- Provides operational and administrative support to the Legal Department, including assistance with organizational charts, records management, litigation support activities, departmental procedures, and general department coordination.
- Works closely with attorneys, compliance personnel, subsidiary leadership, and operational departments to support timely and accurate completion of compliance-related activities and departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department required.
- Experience researching, reviewing, and applying legal regulations required.
- Experience preparing deadline-driven reports and reviewing same for accuracy and completeness required.
- Experience monitoring and tracking detailed information required.
- Exceptional demonstrated organizational skills, work initiative, interpersonal skills, efficient utilization of time, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment required.
- Excellent record-keeping and file management skills are required.
- Able to write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; and ability to read, understand, and interpret written and verbal instructions required.
- Knowledge of basic corporate governance principles, basic contract principles, and/or substantial paralegal experience in a highly regulated industry or practice area required.
- Must be dependable and consistent with attendance, performing job-related tasks, finishing assigned projects, and meeting deadlines.
- Must possess strong familiarity and enthusiasm for a variety of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
- Able to create and maintain highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information and sensitive situations required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license.
- Alaska notary certification and experience notarizing documents preferred.
- Able to lift and carry boxes of documents weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds is required.
