Complex Litigation Associate Attorney - Senior

About the role

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is a leading international law firm known for its Chambers-ranked product liability team. The firm is dedicated to defending clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters, particularly those involving the aviation and transportation industries. This position is open to all US offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases and teams through all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, experts, and trial
• Manage complex cases with minimal oversight
• Analyze complex legal issues such as jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty law
• Work on some of the largest, most challenging matters for blue-chip companies worldwide

Requirements

• Excellent writing skills, demonstrated by experience from a clerkship, law review, moot court, or publication
• Superior academic credentials and references
• Willingness to commit to excellent client service and a client-centered practice
• Comfort with analyzing complex legal issues
• Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, is strongly preferred

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience as a senior-level associate
• Strong interest in aviation and/or technical background in aerospace, mechanical engineering, computer science, or life sciences
