Complex Claims Director - Miscellaneous Professional Liability

Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of the highest exposure, complex third-party, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Privacy and Media Tech claims, including class actions and high exposure matters, from inception through conclusion brought against insureds engaged in a wide range of professions
- Make coverage determinations, investigate losses, evaluate and project potential exposures
- Make case presentations, set judgmental reserves, develop and implement resolution strategies
- Effectively strategize and budget litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors and insureds
- Establish with defense and coverage counsel clear ground rules in order to maintain financial control of budget and expenses
- Collaborate with underwriting and deliver differentiated value and service to customers and distribution partners
Requirements
- A strong track record of handling complex insurance claims, litigation or other related experience, preferably professional liability claims experience within Financial Lines
- Demonstrated ability to analyze policies of insurance and legal documents
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the litigation and arbitration process
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a Juris Doctor is preferred
Pay
- New Jersey: $99,000–$143,000 base salary
- Chicago: $120,000–$147,000 base salary
- New York: $105,000–$147,000 base salary
- Boston: $122,000–$146,000 base salary
- Eligible for bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan
