Compensation Manager

About the Role
As SimpliSafe continues to scale, we're seeking a Manager, Compensation to build and evolve market-competitive, data-driven compensation programs. This role will help attract, retain, and reward talent while ensuring our compensation practices align with our growth and values. You’ll work closely with the People Team to deliver best-in-class compensation programs and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance our Employee Value Proposition.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage core compensation programs (salary, bonus) aligned with company strategy and guidelines.
- Partner with People Partners and business leaders on pay decisions, leveling, and employee-related compensation matters.
- Lead key compensation cycles (merit, promotions, benchmarking) with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and employee experience.
- Apply and evolve compensation frameworks using market data and internal insights.
- Use data and analysis to inform decisions, identify trends, and flag risks.
- Contribute to broader Total Rewards initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with People Partners, People Operations, and Payroll to support processes and projects across the employee lifecycle.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
- CBP or CCP certification preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in compensation.
- Proficiency with compensation administration, preferably with Workday.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation.
- High-level organizational, project, and time management skills.

Pay
The target annual base pay range for this role is $119,000 to $159,000. This range represents our good-faith estimate based on a market-driven compensation approach, adjusted annually. Individual compensation packages are tailored based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors. Beyond base pay, we offer participation in our annual bonus program, equity, and a full range of medical, retirement, and lifestyle benefits.
