Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including payroll changes and benefits enrollments.
  • Aid in the design, implementation, and administration of salary structures, job classifications, and incentive programs.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including self-funded health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other offerings.
  • Play a key role in the annual benefits open enrollment process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports related to compensation and benefits.
  • Perform regular audits and improvements of payroll processes.
  • Stay informed about payroll and benefits regulations and provide timely recommendations to operational staff.
  • Absorb annual employee census data gathering and reporting.
  • Responsible for HRIS and GL account initial set up, applicable updates and termination of state and local entities related to Birge & Held properties.
  • Assist in conducting salary benchmarking and benefits analysis to maintain competitive pay structures and benefits packages.
