Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain and update employee records, including payroll changes and benefits enrollments.
- Aid in the design, implementation, and administration of salary structures, job classifications, and incentive programs.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including self-funded health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other offerings.
- Play a key role in the annual benefits open enrollment process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports related to compensation and benefits.
- Perform regular audits and improvements of payroll processes.
- Stay informed about payroll and benefits regulations and provide timely recommendations to operational staff.
- Absorb annual employee census data gathering and reporting.
- Responsible for HRIS and GL account initial set up, applicable updates and termination of state and local entities related to Birge & Held properties.
- Assist in conducting salary benchmarking and benefits analysis to maintain competitive pay structures and benefits packages.
