12-month contract with a potential for extension in Nashville, TN. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
About the role
This is a hybrid role requiring some on-site presence in the Nashville office. Maintain the human resource records of an organization's employees, including personnel documents, background checks, and other employee-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of escalation for questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
- Instruct staff on how to advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
- Resolve disputes and administer disciplinary procedures
- Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations
- May represent organization in HR meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8-10 years of customer service-related experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant role (preferred)
- Prior compensation or stock plan administration experience
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLookups)

- Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (e.g., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)
- Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Pay
$31.00 - $36.00/hr (W2 contract)
Schedule
Core hours are 8AM–5PM (CT). Hybrid role with required on-site presence in the Nashville office.
