Companion - Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

Supports Meridian Financial Services' HR team in various functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Coordinates the full-cycle recruitment process including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
• Facilitates new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
• Maintains employee records and HRIS databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Affords assistance with benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
• Captures coordination of employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
• Prepares HR-related documents such as offer letters and employment verifications.
• Supports performance review processes and documentation.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Handles general HR inquiries via email and phone.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of HR experience or related administrative experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law basics.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
