Companion Caregiver/STNA

Responsibilities

• Provide warm and engaging companionship to clients to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote emotional well-being
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
• Offer medication reminders to ensure clients take medications on time
• Help prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe home environment
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities
• Offer specialized support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease to enhance comfort and safety
• Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to supervisors
• Ensure the overall safety and well-being of clients during care visits

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in caregiving, preferably with seniors or in home health care
• Certified STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) credentials preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and hygiene
• Dependable and flexible availability to meet client scheduling needs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client-related errands and appointments
• Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers when necessary
• Commitment to maintaining client dignity, privacy, and safety at all times
• Willingness to complete background checks and participate in required training programs
