COMMUNITY YOUTH MENTOR

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and people-focused coach to support the delivery of our growing sport and community programmes. You will work across a variety of settings including schools, holiday camps, community venues and football-led projects. As one of the first faces many participants meet, you will represent both Bradford City AFC and the Community Foundation, helping to create safe, inclusive and positive experiences for every child and adult you work with.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sport and community programmes across schools, holiday camps, community venues, and football-led projects
• Act as a primary representative of Bradford City AFC and the Community Foundation
• Create safe, inclusive, and positive experiences for participants of all ages

Requirements

• Enthusiastic and reliable approach
• People-focused mindset
• Ability to work flexibly between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
• Willingness to travel across Bradford, Leeds, and surrounding areas

Pay and schedule

• Fixed-term contract: 12 months (with potential extension)
• Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible working between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends)
• Start date: September 2026
• Rate of pay: £23,132 - £23,500 per year
• Location: Primarily St Columba's Catholic Primary School, Bradford, with delivery across Bradford, Leeds and surrounding areas as required
• Reports to: Director of Sport
