SALARY RANGE

$21.96 - $27.43 Hourly
Benefits: 4-Day Work Week, 3.5% COLA on July 1, 2025, Retirement savings program for part-time employees (APPLE)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Two (2) years of college course work at an accredited college (preferred)
  • One (1) year of recreation programming or facility maintenance experience (preferred)

THE POSITION

The Community Services & Recreation Leader I will serve as a key member of the City’s Community Services & Recreation Division and will contribute by supporting the planning and execution of inclusive, diverse, family-friendly events. This individual will do so with a “can do” attitude and “get it done” approach to work in a fast-paced environment while working closely with a talented, energetic, and highly engaged team of City talent.

Special Requirements

  • Legal Right to Work: Verification required.
  • Drug and/or Alcohol Test: Required upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment.

Experience, Training & Licenses

  • Valid California Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain one (required).
  • Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule that occasionally might include nights, weekends, and holidays (optional).
  • Current or former membership in CalPERS (optional).

Accumulation Program for Part-Time and Limited Service Employees (APPLE)

A retirement savings program for part-time employees that do not qualify for CalPERS retirement benefits.

Time Off

  • Sick Leave: 29 Hour Part-Time Employees are provided 24 hours of sick leave within the first 90 calendar days and an additional 16 hours on the 200th calendar day.
